he Miz is a native of Parma, Ohio and attended Miami University. He later relocated to California and to attend acting classes. He was known for appearing on many reality shows such as 'The Real World', 'Fear Factor' and others. Pursuing the goal of becoming a professional wrestler which he had harbored from an early age, Mizanin joined Ultimate Pro Wrestling, where he trained in the Ultimate University. He made his in-ring debut in 2003. In 2004 he joined the television show 'Tough Enough' were the winner would get a WWE developmental contract and $1,000,000.00. Despite not winning 'Tough Enough', the Miz caught the eyes of the WWE anyways and was offered a developmental contract anyways and was sent to Deep South Wrestling.
